Would it not be fun just to have all your problems one day wiped out and have the "director" of your life say, "Cut! You fluffed that line. Lets do it all again from the top!"?
Well, it would be great to have to know that your "mistakes" could be wiped away and you could "take five" and restart, once you had a grip on yourself, of course.
But life is not a rehearsal, and like some poet said, "the evil that we do lives on after us", and, contrary to the expressed hopes of both the "followers" of Christ and Christ himself, God is not about to say, "Ok, that was a rehearsal, now we can have the real thing".
When God spoke about "new things", He never meant that He would wipe away the past and pretend it never happened. Even when He said, "Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more", He merely meant that He would not have to go after people reminding them of what THEY had done because THEY would know it themselves, and would do something to make sure He did not have to bring it up Himself.
My point is; God never forgets, and He never overlooks a slight, because He is ever aware of not only the reasons why we do what we do, but also the underlying contempt that those who say they are His all express for Him because He has an 'apparently' soft approach to His work.
Now above are the lobes of the brain, and the funny thing is that every normal person has two lobes called the "temporal lobes" which are on either side of the head, and these are associated with memory.
It is also a fact that the root of the word "temple" is "memory" as well.Or "mind", or "reason"...or, even "repent".
My point is this: Do not be fooled any more by thinking that this "Utopia" that Christ promised [because he wanted to change things and act as though God made jokes and could be made to change even HIS mind]...exists.
Unlike the testimony of the "apostles" who said, "these times of ignorance God has overlooked, but now He commands men everywhere to repent because He has appointed a day for judgement...", God has NEVER overlooked anything, but with every act He has issued His judgements: there never were any rehearsals.
Christ will be humbled...personally I have no interest in meeting him any day, so my ONE desire is that he be brought down after I am gone, ditto for The Holy Spirit, because they are, after all, God's creations and the one thing I would never be able to restrain myself from doing would be to tear them limb from limb, since, unlike people, they "chose" to meddle in things that did not involve them, and I am certain that no amount of forbearance would persuade me from doing something about it, if the opportunity was ever afforded me.
This, of course, brings me to my own "unique" being.
I really must say I never volunteered for any of this, nor is it any badge of honour to me to be what I am:- I am not interested remotely in any of the things that happen around me, having no vested interest in anything that interests people.
I can not die, because God says He will not let me, because HE has claimed me for Himself, and only He is my real interest, and He has "permitted" me to have whatever I say I want or point out, because I fulfill His original intent in making the first man;- I am neither father nor bound by the duties of a son [so I am OUT of THEIR image], but I have God's likeness in that I never forget, and I reason everything through, seeing things NOW both from the perspective of the past and the way they may end...:
Conclusion:- I have been "granted" dominion... and the "increase of my government will not end"; that is, my rule on the earth.
In non biblical terms, what I am saying is, what I say goes, and it happens, and I do not have to MAKE it happen, God sees to it, and so if anyone has a problem with that, they take it up with God, or me if they think I am a soft target, because, I have found that people tend to despise one of one is not as power hungry as they are.
I am what one would call a dangerous person, and it would be wise to just deal with me while we still are on talking terms, because very soon the timw for pow-wow will be over and there will be no smoking of the peace pipe, but a time for the drawing of swords and the rending of lives.
As I said, I am not interested, much in what happens to people. I want to pay my one obligation, and then, well, we will see.
